GSS is a G&G manufactured replica from GT Advance line, which is characterized by high quality manufacture of both external and internal parts. These replicas look really solid and are effective on airsoft battlefield which makes them all that would make an airsoft player happy. This replica places G&G among other manufacturers which already have this classic, silenced sniper rifle, used by Russian Federation special forces, in their offer.

The replica is made using exceptional amount of steel. The receiver cover, rear sight base, ironsights, cocking lever, safety lever and – the best part – the whole characteristic integral silencer are made from steel. The body and smaller parts are made from metal (ZnAl, Aluminum 6061). The stock, same as in real firearm, is made from natural varnished wood, and it ends with a comfortable thick rubber stock pad. The last element, the handguard, is made from rugged polymer – same as in original firearm.

The replica can be disassembled into two parts in few seconds by pressing one locking pin (located at the stock base). The first part is the whole body with silencer, the another is the stock with motor located in the pistol grip. Such design allows for easy transportation. On the right side the safety lever is located, similar to that used in AK type replicas. Tire type selector is located inside the trigger guard – same as in real firearm counterpart. The dedicated side mounting rail allows for additional optics.

The GSS is powered by a dedicated Li-MN Stick battery held inside the silencer. The set includes two of these batteries. Thanks to included Tamiya small type adapter there is possibility for using standard accumulator which fit into the silencer. The silencer itself is disassembled by removing ring near the body.

The internals are made with characteristic for G&G precision, with few interesting innovations. The replica has specially designed gearbox with 8mm ball bearings and is powered by a 25000 rpm High-torque motor. This is the High Muzzle Velocity version which means stock installed M120 spring which gives ~400FPS muzzle velocity out of the box.

The G&G engineers provided us with a few design innovations – the GSS has electronic chip which cuts off power after the last bb is shot or when the magazine is removed. Also before first shot the cocking lever must be pulled which adds realism to shooting. In order to shoot without bullet the special button located inside the magazine well must be pressed. The well also houses LED light informing about battery power level and gears position. Icing on the cake is the fast spring change system. To change the spring only the receiver cover must be taken out and plug with spring pipe must be unscrewed from the back of gearbox.

The set includes polymer 250 round hi-cap magazine.
